Google Calendar generates tons of email notifications. When you are a heavy user, this can be overwhelming.
Two areas to manage (reduce) the email notifications from Google Calendar are notifications about events and notifications about invitations for events.
- Open Google Calendar.
- In the top right, click Settings
Settings.
- On the left, under "Settings for my calendars," click the calendar you want to change
Calendar settings.
- Under "Event notifications" or "All-day event notifications":
- To delete a notification, click Remove notification
- To edit a notification, choose if you'd like to receive a notification or an email. Select how long in advance you'd like to get the alert.
- To delete a notification, click Remove notification
- Under "Other notifications":
- Change Event Responses to None.
- Change other settings to None here, too, as desired.
