Emptying the Trash (Updated)

To empty your trash, follow these easy steps.

 

 

1. Hold down the Control button and click on the Trash can in your Dock.
2. Click Empty Trash.
3. In the confirmation message that pops up, click Empty Trash.

 

That's it -- your trash can is now empty!

 

Alternatively, you can press Shift-Command-Delete while in the Finder.

 

 

Another way is to open the trash and hit the empty button in the top right corner.
