Here are the instructions from Blackbaud:
Assessments Guide - Build quizzes, tests, and exams to evaluate students.> click on New Assessments BuilderVideo - New Assessments HighlightsVideo - New Assessments Series
Some highlighted features:
- Add an Introduction, then questions: Essay, Multiple Choice, Matching, T/F, Fill-in the blank
- Add media to questions (video, image, audio, etc.) - I don't know if responses could also include media, but we could test it?
- Randomize questions and randomize the multiple choice answers.
- Set if questions only show up one at a time or all at once (good for students who may not finish).
- Print the assessment so it can be done on paper.
- Allow retakes on an as needed basis (or a set number of attempts).
- Set the time or extended time for individual students or allow unlimited time.
- Assign the assessment to individual students (not the whole class). Hide from students who aren't ready yet.
- Students can pause and continue, but only with your permission (we could talk about how you could have a proctor do this) or allow them to resume independently (if a proctor is not needed).
- Evaluate in SIS like grading most HW - assign points, give an overall comment, give comments on individual questions, commit to gradebook, etc.
- Set how results are viewed by students (after completion or after all students have completed).
- Students can view results/feedback in SIS.
- Grades are already in SIS.
- Reporting > insights like which questions were most incorrect, amount of time to complete, and other types of data, etc. Could help you see trends with individual students or with areas that need to be remediated.
- Math and Science teachers can use LaTex to include formulas, symbols, and equations (not sure how students would do it?)
