This article discusses how to enter your email address into a copier, how to
scan a document and send it to your email, and how to scan documents with
multiple pages.
1. Examine the Copier Interface:
Please note the six buttons on the right side of the touch screen

An interface for sending scanned documents as emails appears.
4 The Email Interface:
Please note that there are options for the traditional to, cc, bcc, subject, and
body fields. This tutorial will only cover the to field as the rest are self-
explanatory given knowledge of the to field.
5 Hit the to field/ button:
This area is called the ”Address Book.” There are many options for entering
your email address. I will iterate them in no particular order.
6 Adding your email
6.1 Select from the list:
Using the scroll buttons (The up and down arrows) on the right, you can scroll
through the list of names. When you find your name, tap it. You can tap
multiple names. The name(s) should be highlighted in blue:
Afterwards, simply hit okay and continue to 7.
6.2 Using your id
Every use has an id. The id is the number next to your name in the address
book. It is surrounded by a red box in the following image:
Also in that image, is a blue box. This highlights the known id button. You
can hit it, enter your id, and it will give you the option to select your email just
as in option 1.
6.3 Search
If you do not know your id and you do not wish to scroll through all the users,
you can easily search for your name. The search button is right next to known
id button. Hit it. The following appears:
As you can see, we have 6 options to search by. We will search by first name.
Hit first name and a keyboard should appear. Enter part or all of your first
name and hit okay. It will return you to the box shown above:
Hit search. A list of results will appear:
Just like in the address book, you can tap the result you want:
And then hit okay to get back to the address book where you can select more
people to add to the field or just hit okay again to get to scanning.
6.4 Manually Entering your Email
In the address book, in the upper left hand corner, there is an ”@ INPUT”
button:
After you hit it, a keyboard will appear. Enter your email: (Use @burkeschool.org):
After entering it, hit okay. The email should show up in the address book screen
like this:
Hit okay, again, to return to the original enter email screen that we arrived at
in step 5:
7 Scanning and Sending
After completing any of these options, the email(s) you selected should appear
in the to section. For example:
If you are satisifed, hit okay. It will return you to the scanning screen. Any
emails entered in the to, cc, or bcc fields should appear in the area labeled
destinations, shown in a yellow box:
If this is satisfactory, place the object you want to scan in the scanner and hit
the scan button in the lower right hand corner. A confirmation dialoge will
appear:
Follow the instructions. When the machine stops scanning, hit job finish. When you do this, you will be taken back the original scan menu and in the lower left
hand corner, a message, confirming that the email is being sent, should appear
for a few seconds:
And now you are done.
