Bulletin Board

Updated:

To edit your bulletin board, turn Edit Mode on using the toggle that you see above. Then you'll see something like this:

Import Materials

You can import materials from past years.

You can add announcements, news items, syllabi, grading rubrics, "expectations," events, downloads, and links using the modules on this page. In any of the boxes that pop up to let you add things, you can click either "Save and Add Another" or "Save" as appropriate.

Announcements

  • Below, you'll see a screenshot of the "new announcement" screen. The "Send Notification" box is checked by default, but you can uncheck it if you want.

  • After you enter this information, you'll need to scroll down and choose which classes should get the announcement using these options:

News

  • You can add a news item by filling out the information that appears when you click "Add" next to "News." Only the headline field is mandatory.
  • You can check the box to enable comments if you want. It's up to you.
  • You can add photos by scrolling down and either dragging photos into the "Drag Photos Here" space or clicking "Select From Your Computer" and browsing to the location of your photo.
  • As with Announcements, you have to choose certain classes to which you want to publish your news item.

Syllabus

  • Choose a title and enter a description for your syllabus.
  • Upload your syllabus document by either dragging the file from your computer onto the provided space or browsing to the document after clicking "Select From Your Computer."
  • Choose which classes should see this syllabus.

Adding a grading rubric or a download works the same way as adding a syllabus. You fill out a few fields, upload your document(s), and choose who should see the material.

Events

  • In addition to the standard title and description fields (and now the details field, which is similar), you'll have to set events as either one-off or recurring.

  • Scroll past the description field and you'll see other information to fill out.

  • Finally, choose which classes should see this event.

Links

This one is easy. Fill in the title, URL, and description, and then choose which classes should see the link.
