The Class Page

Updated:

The Class Page has five sections. You always land first on the Bulletin Board when you go to the Class Page.

  1. Bulletin Board - The bulletin board is the best place to share general information with your students. Your expectations, syllabus, grading rubric, downloads, links, and media students will need from the first day to the last are best posted here. You can also add announcements, news and events you want students to see immediately when they land on the class page.
  2. Topics - Use topics to organize your learning materials more specifically by chapter, unit, subject, etc. Each topic has a cover photo and description, and a detail page where you can pull together downloads, links, embed video, and other materials related to your defined topic.
  3. Assignments - Here you view, add and manage all of the assignments for a class. Any assignments added here will also display in the Assignment Center.
  4. Grade Book - The grade book is a great time-saving tool to record assignment grades and automatically calculate day to day or end of trimester averages. You will need to set up the grade book to calculate grades according to your class expectations. The grade book is integrated with assignments, eliminating the need for double entry. You can also allow students to see their current average in your class.
  5. Schedule - This view shows the schedule for just this class section, as well as color days and other school events. You can view by the month or by the week. Keep in mind you can get your full schedule from the My Day Schedule & Performance page.
  6. Grading - During Report Card writing time, you will be able to record class grades here, when a Grade Plan becomes active. You can also run reports, including section grades, old report cards, and transcripts using the button on the right of this screen.
  7. Roster - Rosters provide quick access to both student and parent contact information. You also access a student's entire profile from here, including schedule, assignments, and learning file.
