Recommend Courses

Updated:

MAKE SURE YOU RECOMMEND COURSES FOR 24-25.

MAKE SURE YOU ARE RECOMMENDING AND NOT REQUESTING/REQUIRING.

Please watch the video. It looks slightly different each year, though the process for making recommendations is still essentially the same. I apologize for the low volume of the video, but if you turn it up or use headphones or turn on the closed captioning hopefully that will work for you.

The main difference from the video is how you get to the software in SIS.

To access the SIS software to make Recommendations:

  • Click on Faculty > Academics
  • Go to Scheduling > Requests and Schedule
  • At the top of the page, change the year to the upcoming school year
  • On the right, you'll see Course Requests, click on More Actions > Enter Requests
  • From that point (about 0:30), the video fairly accurately describes the steps you'll need to take.
  • Contact the Scheduler for help if you run into any difficulties or just want a refresher.

If you need to review or edit recommendations you've already made (or fix a mistake that you made), use these instructions.
