This toolbar lets you send content from Microsoft applications to your SmartBoard presentations. It makes programs crash a lot. If you don't need or want it, you can turn it off:
- Click the Finder icon in the Dock to open a new Finder window.
- Click Applications in the sidebar.
- Open the SMART Technologies folder.
- Open the Control Panel.
- Click "Configure SMART Tools" on the left.
- Click "Ink Aware Program Settings."
- Uncheck the boxes for the programs you don't want to have the toolbar any more.
- Click OK in all windows.
Here are some issues I've seen caused by these tools:
- Excel crashing while making graphs in the Chart Wizard
- PowerPoint crashing while rearranging slides using the Slide Sorter
