When you're creating an Assignment, Comment, News item, or other textual entry, you may want to copy and paste directly from Microsoft Word. This is not as easy as simply cutting and pasting the text. You'll need to use a special button that appears next to every text box. Here's how it works.
Click on this button that looks like this:
A window will pop up.
- Go to a course page, team page, or other place where you want to create a text entry.
- Click "Add" next to the appropriate content type (Announcements, News, etc.).
- You will see a description field that looks like this:


- Switch Word and copy (command+c or select the text and right click > "copy") your nicely-formatted text.
- Switch back to SIS and paste (command+v or right click > "paste") that text into the window that popped up. Then click "Insert."

You're done!
