Remove Contacts in Gmail

Updated:

Sometimes you have a contact for a person that keeps coming up when you address an email to someone and it's out of date or incorrect.

This is particularly applicable when you have a personal email address for a student or colleague that keeps coming up instead of their Burke address, or if someone changes their name.

To get rid of it, update your Contacts in Gmail.
  • Click on Mail > Contacts
  • Search for name or email address
  • Find the one that's wrong
  • Click the box next to it on the left
  • Click More on the top right
  • Select Delete contact
